There are hundreds of these types of search engines and if you are interested in a specific company, you can always look on their careers page!

#9 New Show Formats

Going Digital!

Recently the PR company, KCD, has announced during the next Mercedes-Benz fashion week they will be introducing a new digital format for their clients fashion shows. The new format will be online-only fashion shows to buyers and members of the press. The shows will be pre-taped, then scheduled to air online at a specific time, viewable via computer, i Pad, or iPhone, to anyone with a username and password. As a bonus, run of show information appears alongside each look and you can select favorites, type notes and view front, back and detail shots. They also provide a video in which the designer discusses inspiration, a bio, credit information, beauty details, images and transcripts.
I think this is great new way to involve as many people within the fashion industry as possible. With this new format the difficulties many people face during fashion shows will no longer be a problem, such as having a bad seat, missing some of the favorite pieces, and time conflicting show times.

# 8 Look Book

All Hail McQueen

Look Books are such an interesting way for a designer to present their collection for the current season.  When I studied abroad in Paris, we had to spend an entire afternoon collecting look-books from different designer stores.  It was such an amazing experience because I was able to meet all different people who worked in the stores and they were all more than willing to help, and some would even help explaining the inspiration for that designer collection.  When I think of a design house that always has the most creative collections, I automatically think of Alexander McQueen.

Here is the look book from the SS 2012 Collection:

This collection showcases the beautiful creativity and elegance that is always embodied in an Alexander McQueen show.
